We’re back again with the third and final review of Petaluma and Co. and if you didn’t get to read Part 1 or Part 2 of our review, you can read Part 1 here and Part 2 here. Before we get into the final review, we want to give Petaluma and Co. a big shout out for being so amazing. Thank you for the opportunity to try some really great masks ! We had a wonderful time working with them and hope to do so again in the future!

For our last review, we saved the most exciting masks for last. This week we tried Banila Co.’s Miss Flower and Mr. Honey Hydrogel Mask Sheet and Leaders’ 7 Wonders Caribbean Coconut Calming Mask.

We took a picture of us wearing the masks so you could see what the fit and material looked like. On the left is the Leaders 7 Wonders Caribbean Coconut Calming Mask. and and on the right is the Banila Co. Miss Flower and Mr. Honey Hydrogel Mask Sheet. Below are our individual reviews of them!

Which Beauty Witch tried this mask?

Sara (skin type: oily, acne-prone)

Claims:

Most of the packaging for this sheet mask wasn’t in English, except for what was on the front of the packaging. So according to what little I can read on the packaging, the masks main purpose is to moisturize and nourish, which makes sense considering the highlighted ingredient is honey. However, in order to find out more about the mask I checked out Petaluma and Co.’s website and this is the gist of what it said:

  • Provides moisture and elasticity when applied to the skin

Instructions:

What Banila Co.  and I say to do:

  • The instructions are all in Korean, but the pictures are pretty clear on what to do.
  • Make sure to cleanse and tone your skin before applying the mask and be careful when applying it as hydrogel masks can be slippery and easy to rip.
  • Once you have applied the mask, leave it on for about 25-35 minutes or until you feel you skin has absorbed enough of the essence.
  • After removing the mask, pat skin to maximize absorption.

Material and Fit:

This mask fit my face wonderfully. There wasn’t much excess mask hanging off my face and it contoured to my face shape comfortably. The only issue I had with the fit was how much it slide off my face. I couldn’t move my face much when I wore this mask because it would start to slide off, but I expect this from most sheet mask so it wasn’t a big deal.

As for the material of the mask, I mainly like it because it was gold and sparkly. Hands down the prettiest sheet mask I have ever worn. Other than that, the material was nothing special, just your average gel material.

Essence:

The essence for this mask was okay in my opinion. For some reason it kind of stung a little when I first put it on, but the sensation did go away and the end result was pleasing. It left my skin soft and moisturized, but a little sticky.

Final Rating:

I liked this mask mainly because of how pretty it was. There is a lot of hype about the Miss Flower and Mr. Honey line on the internet and I’m not sure this mask quite lives up to it. The mask did it’s job in the sense that it moisturized my skin, but it didn’t do much other than that. Usually a good sheet mask will leave my skin feeling refreshed and a little glowy, but not in this case. The mask isn’t bad, just nothing special. I would recommend this mask for those with dry or inflamed skin, but not sensitive as it stung me a little.

Rating Scale

  • 1-Bad, had a reaction, would not buy again
  • 2-Did not work
  • 3-Worked, but nothing special
  • 4-Great product, but has the potential to be replaced
  • 5-Holy Grail, it’s the cat’s meow!

Noona 3.5

This mask did the basic job of moisturizing but it was nothing special. It’s fun to use though because it’s pretty, so if that what you’re looking for, give it a try!

Leaders Caribbean Coconut Calming Mask:

Which Beauty Witch tried this mask?

Rosa (skin type: combination, acne-prone)

Claims:

  • Calms red and Irritated Skin
  • Leaves skin soothed and refreshed

Instructions:

(From the back of the packaging)

  1. Clean and Dry Face
  2. Remove mask from package and peel off one side of the protective paper.
  3. Place mask directly on skin, contouring it to fit the curves around the eyes, nose, and mouth.
  4. Remove protective film from the outside the mask.
  5. Leave on for 20-25 minutes
  6. Remove mask and gently pat the face with fingertips until the remaining serum is fully absorbed.

How I used it:

  1. Double cleansed and toned skin
  2. Left on for 35 minutes (until mask was dry)
  3. Removed mask, patted skin and applied left over essence from packet.
  4. applied essence, serum, and moisturizer

Material and Fit:

The material just like the previous Leader’s mask, was a very thin hydrogel layer. This time I was able to apply it a lot easier than last week, fitting it perfectly to my face.

Essence:

There was plenty of extra essence in the bottom of the packaging, enough to pat onto the mask and my neck and once more after removing the mask. The essence contains coconut gel, which is filled with hydrating properties.

Final Rating:

The mask went on easily and I was able to leave it on for a little longer than the directions called for thanks to the extra essence. Though the mask did its job of evening my skin tone and bringing moisture back into my face I felt that it was a little lack luster. The hydration was minimal compared to the leaders tomato mask from the previous week. I really didn’t see any change in the red spots that were on my face, and felt that eithout my other serums and moisturizers my skin would have been dried out the next morning.

Rating Scale

  • 1-Bad, had a reaction, would not buy again
  • 2-Did not work
  • 3-Worked, but nothing special
  • 4-Great product, but has the potential to be replaced
  • 5-Holy Grail, it’s the cat’s meow!

  1. The packaging of these looks lovely, however based on your review I don’t think I will be trying them anytime soon. Their price point seems to be a bit too high considering the results were simply average.

    1. We agree. Though we enjoyed them and are thankful that they were sent to us, I doubt I would go out of my way to purchase these last two masks. The ones from part 1 and 2 however were great and I would be more than happy to purchase them in the future 🙂

      1. I think masks in general are all enjoyable (unless there’s something terribly wrong with them), but repurchasing is a whole another story, haha. 😀
